Atletico Madrid continue to reject Inter approaches for Sime Vrsaljko, so Matteo Darmian is an alternative for the Nerazzurri.

The Nerazzurri have been pursuing former Sassuolo full-back Vrsaljko for months, but are not prepared to buy him outright.

Due to Financial Fair Play considerations, they would prefer to take him on a paid loan with option or even obligation to buy at the end of the season.

Due to Financial Fair Play considerations, they would prefer to take him on a paid loan with option or even obligation to buy at the end of the season.

The asking price for Vrsaljko is €30m, especially after an impressive World Cup campaign that will see him play in tomorrow’s Final between Croatia and France.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Atletico Madrid continue to slam the door on Inter’s proposal until it becomes something more concrete and immediate.

The Nerazzurri must therefore consider other alternatives, including Manchester United’s Italy international Matteo Darmian.

Here too, Inter want him on loan with option to buy, which could be worked out if he first extends his current contract with the Premier League side.
