Monaco have confirmed they’re challenging Juventus and Chelsea for Aleksandr Golovin - “we’ve made a more than generous offer”.
The Russian attacking midfielder has been the subject of interest from the Bianconeri, but so far they’ve been unwilling to meet CSKA Moscow’s asking price.
“We made an offer to CSKA for Golovin,” confirmed Monaco Vice-President Vadim Vasilyev to Sport Express.
“We’ve made a more than generous offer, and we’ve offered a contract lasting five years. I think that a transition with a club like Monaco is best option for him at this stage in his career.
“Everything should be decided in the coming days, maybe even today. We can’t wait long. If it doesn’t happen, we’ll look to another option.”
