All of this uncertainty has prompted 31-year-old Bonucci to reconsider his position and agent Alessandro Lucci asked for a transfer, according to SpazioMilan.

He would only remain for a serious and ambitious project, but is leaning towards the Premier League.

Manchester United are known to want Bonucci, while the Italy international would be welcome at Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said repeatedly that Bonucci is one of his favourite players in the world.

When the Italy international left Juventus last year, he had already been strongly linked with the Premier League, but preferred to remain in the Peninsula as his infant son had serious health problems.

Now that he is well on the way to a full recovery, a move abroad would be considered.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been showing a strong interest in Bonucci, where he'd reunite with Gianluigi Buffon.
