Rossoneri captain Bonucci is known to want to leave San Siro, just one year after his high-profile move from Turin.

The 31-year-old was initially linked with a move to Manchester United earlier in the summer, but speculation in recent days has heavily touted him for a sensational return to Turin.

In return, Milan are believed to want promising centre-back Caldara, who has returned to Juve after a successful two-year loan spell at Atalanta.

A part player exchange could best suit all parties, although it is thought the Bianconeri and Rossoneri currently disagree on the respective values of the two defenders.

In addition, Corriere dello Sport claims that while Bonucci is desperate for a return to his former employers, Caldara is still unsure about moving in the opposite direction.

Juve cannot presently guarantee the 24-year-old first-team football, but the Italian daily reports Caldara may prefer to stay and fight for a first team place under Max Allegri anyway.

In any case, Bonucci’s days at San Siro appear numbered, with new Milan general manager Leonardo confirming at a Press conference yesterday that the 31-year-old’s intention is to depart the club.
