Carlos Bacca met with Milan today, as he tries to secure a return to Villarreal for the coming season.

The Colombian striker spent last season on loan in Spain, but the Yellow Submarine didn’t pay the €15m buyout clause to make the deal permanent.

Today Bacca met with new general manager Leonardo at Casa Milan, having already confirmed that he wants to go back to La Liga.

According to calciomercato.com, Villarreal are offering €8m to sign the striker, just over half of the asking price.

There are offers from Turkey, from Galatasaray and Trabzonspor, but Bacca is determined to go back to Spain and isn’t considering those offers.

Milan need to get him off the books quickly, as there’s no place for him in Gennaro Gattuso’s plans and they need to raise money to cover the signings of Mattia Caldara and Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus.
