Milan general manager Leonardo assures “we’ve never thought about” selling Suso, after meeting his agent today.

The Spanish winger has been linked with a move to Roma, and the Giallorossi met with his representative yesterday.

Today Leonardo and Paolo Maldini also met with Alessandro Lucci, fuelling speculation that a deal could be moving forward.

“We’ve never thought about his departure,” Leonardo said in the Press conference to present Pepe Reina and Ivan Strinic.

“There’s been nothing to make us think otherwise. He’s very important for us, these meetings take place to get to know the new owners. There’s no reason to think he can’t stay here.

“We didn't talk about offers, we talked only about what exists. We need to meet individually with all the players, these meetings are normal things for a new ownership.”

The Rossoneri are also thought to be close to Tiemoue Bakayoko of Chelsea, who could join on loan.

“I won’t deny that we’re talking. We’ll see what happens, we still have seven days and we’ll see what the real possibilities are. He’s one of the possibilities.”

Milan have also been linked with Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but the Brazilian again shot that down.

“It’s difficult, sadly he doesn’t fit our parameters right now,” Leonardo reiterated.

“Half of Europe dreams of him, he’s a modern footballer, good with his head and scores goals. Unfortunately it’s just not feasible right now.”
