Sevilla have reportedly joined Real Betis in the race for Inter midfielder Joao Mario.

The Portuguese midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United, but the Hammers didn’t take up the option to sign him permanently.

Yesterday it emerged that Real Betis were keen to sign him on loan with an option to buy, and Sky Italia reports that Sevilla are also interested.

While the Italian transfer window closes on Friday, Spanish clubs have until August 31 to get deals done so Joao Mario has about two weeks to find a new club.
