“There are some regrets, because we took the initiative throughout, had so many shots on target and chances to score, so to see it end 0-0 is frankly galling,” the defender told Sky Sport Italia.

“The pitch wasn’t great, but that can’t be an excuse. As time went on, the turf was getting worse and worse, so we had to go with more high balls rather than passing to feet.”
