City rivals Milan can't play Real, but will be thrown against Tottenham, Schalke, Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern, Chelsea or Shakhtar.

Roma, meanwhile, can play Tottenham, Schalke, Manchester United, Barcelona, Chelsea, Real Madrid or Shakhtar after finishing behind Bayern in their section.

The Serie A threesome will face home ties first on February 15/16 or 22/23, with the second legs scheduled for March 8/9 and 15/16.

In the Europa League, Napoli are Italy's only remaining outfit after the eliminations of Juventus, Palermo and Sampdoria.

The Azzurri progressed thanks to a late goal from Edinson Cavani against Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday.

The San Paolo outfit will now be drawn against one of the 11 group winners – they can't play Liverpool who were in their group – or a Champions League drop-out.
