Australian second tier side Avondale FC offered Andrea Pirlo a deal to come out of retirement, but it’s reported the Italy legend isn’t interested.
The midfielder retired after leaving Major League Soccer side New York City FC, and played a farewell match at San Siro in June.
Now ESPN is reporting that Avondale asked him to come out of retirement in time for the FFA Cup quarter-final against Sydney FC on September 19.
However, the American outlet has contacted Pirlo’s representatives who made it clear he’s not interested.
Avondale’s cup opponents Sydney did have an Italian legend in the past, as Alessandro Del Piero spent two seasons with them after leaving Juventus.
