“The lads are in good shape, the internationals came back in decent condition and I’m happy with the way we’ve prepared for this game,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Naturally, we could be sharper, but that’s the price you pay at this stage of the season. There’s no such thing as an easy game in Serie A and we learned that the hard way.”

The Aquile started with two defeats, then scraped a 1-0 victory over Frosinone.

“I want to see a Lazio side that is humble, solid and with the right approach. Aurelio Andreazzoli is a very good Coach and his Empoli have been playing excellent football so far this season, they haven’t changed much since last term and that makes this a delicate fixture for us.

“The fans have been a great help to us during this difficult time and gave us a boost against Frosinone, because they could tell the team was giving everything.”

With the Europa League coming up and several players fresh from international duty, will Inzaghi make changes?

“Joaquin Correa worked very, very well with the team and staff. We’ll see tomorrow whether he starts or is on the bench, but I can say over the last two weeks of training, he fully satisfied me.”
