The Sardinians were frustrated by their start to the season, but a shock victory away to Atalanta seemed to get them back on track.

“We are in a positive moment, but clearly when there’s a break for international duty, there are always going to be some question marks,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Milan are in good shape and we know they can cause us real problems if we don’t face them with the right attitude. Playing against them has to be motivating and not a reason to be timid or nervous.”

There is already an important development, as Joao Pedro is available again after sitting out his three-month ban for failing a doping test.

“He has been training regularly, so the only issue is match fitness. The Brazilian has qualities and characteristics that are different to everyone else in the squad and his return is certainly an extra weapon in our armoury. There’s no reason why he couldn’t start.”

Luca Ceppitelli and second choice goalkeeper Rafael are still out injured.
