Torino President Urbano Cairo announced a new contract for Iago Falque, but laughed off links with Antonio Candreva and Manuel Lazzari.
“We are very close to a deal with Iago Falque,” Cairo told Sky Sport Italia.
“We really appreciate him, as he has had two fantastic seasons. We’re close, we have a basic agreement, he is happy to remain at Toro and we will certainly sign the renewal very soon.”

However, the Granata patron was unimpressed with newspaper reports of an approach for Inter winger Candreva and SPAL talent Lazzari.
“Clearly the newspapers have to sell copies and when there aren’t any Serie A games on, they need to fill the space. We are working on something, but I don’t believe those are the names we’re looking at.”
