Serie B side Venezia have officially appointed former Italy goalkeeper Walter Zenga as their new Coach.

The news comes as no surprise, given Zenga accidentally confirmed his move via social media on Thursday.

The 58-year-old replaces Stefano Vecchi, who makes way after just one win from seven games at the helm.

Zenga played 58 times for Italy and won a Scudetto with Inter in 1989, as well as two UEFA Cups.

However, he is arguably best known for his nomadic coaching career, which has taken him to the US, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and England.

Zenga last managed Crotone but was unable to keep them in Serie A and subsequently left at the end of the previous campaign.
