Matias Vecino insists “it’s not a coincidence” that Inter keep winning games in stoppages after another last-gasp victory over Milan.

It was the Uruguayan’s cross that found Mauro Icardi for a header at the 93rd minute this evening.

“It’s happening too often now that we score crucial goals late on, so it’s not a coincidence,” Vecino told Inter TV.

“It’s happening too often now that we score crucial goals late on, so it’s not a coincidence,” Vecino told Inter TV.

“This is partly down to our fitness levels, as we run to the very end, plus we never stop believing. The derby is like a separate entity from the rest of the season and gives us even more confidence going into Wednesday.

“The people are so passionate about the derby and we wanted to give them this joy of celebration.”

Inter have won seven consecutive games, their best run since January 2017, and on Wednesday face Barcelona in the Champions League.
