Former Lega Pro chief Gabriele Gravina has been elected as the FIGC’s new President.
Gravina won the presidency with a runaway 97.2 percent of the vote at an election assembly on Monday, having been the only candidate to replace Carlo Tavecchio.
The 65-year-old was previously at the helm of Lega Pro, governing Serie C – the third tier of Italian football.
Gravina is also known in Italy for his tenure as President of Castel di Sangro, guiding the minnows to five promotions and Serie B between 1984 and 1996.
