Partenopei President Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed last month that he had spoken to the Griffon about the Pole, who scored nine times in his first seven Serie A games.

Nonetheless, calciomercato.com reports that Napoli are still trying to get a deal over the line for PiÄ…tek.

Genoa value the striker at around €60m, but so far the Partenopei haven’t gone about €35m, which would include cash and a player in exchange, likely Amin Younes.

More talks are scheduled for the coming weeks, but there is competition from Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.
