Ciro Immobile did eventually cancel out the Sergio Pellissier opener at the Stadio Bentegodi, but the result dropped them down to fifth place behind Milan.

“We could not have done worse than the first half. I told the lads that we had completely the wrong attitude, had to take responsibility and it was the worst first half I’d seen in my three years in this job,” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.

“I wanted to replace all 11 players at half-time, but seeing as I couldn’t, I had to ask them to put in a different performance. I take my share of the responsibility too, but I expected more from my team.

“At the end of the 90 minutes, perhaps we deserved more from the game and three draws in a row is starting to become a concern. For the first time this season, we are not in the top four.”
