Genoa have officially appointed former Italy CT Cesare Prandelli as their new Coach.

A statement on Genoa’s official website thanked predecessor Ivan Juric for his ‘dedication’ after they sacked the Croat for the third time.

Prandelli will be joined by long-time assistants Gabriele Pin and Valter Vio and presented to the media at 10:30 GMT on Saturday.

The 61-year-old, who replaces Ivan Juric, enjoyed success with Verona, Parma and Fiorentina, before taking Italy to the Final of Euro 2012.

However, his career has nosedived following spells with Galatasaray, Valencia and Al-Nasr, which lasted a combined 15 months.
