“We haven’t won on home turf in a while, but the statistics show it is a very balanced Serie A campaign this year,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“We haven’t won on home turf in a while, but the statistics show it is a very balanced Serie A campaign this year,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“Fiorentina started the season aiming for more prestigious targets than ours, but only picked up five draws in the last six rounds. They are a tough side to play against and try not to give the opposition any reference points to mark.
“The Viola always try to play the ball, have wide forwards who can spread out and a top level centre-forward in Giovanni Simeone. We have similar approaches, so it’ll be a constant battle for possession.”
It’s a special game for Babacar, who never quite managed to become a regular starter for Fiorentina in his years at the club.
“Babacar has the potential to score 20 Serie A goals per season and I’d love for him to achieve that with Sassuolo. Let’s just say if he ended up being Capocannoniere of Serie A in a couple of years, I wouldn’t be surprised.
“He is available, but I’m not sure yet if he’s fit enough to be in the starting XI. All we need is a spark to get going and start a run of positive results.”
