Inter have confirmed they “will adopt a co-CEO model”, with Beppe Marotta in charge of sport and Alessando Antonello taking care of finance.

It was officially confirmed today that former Juventus general manager Marotta has been appointed, and the Nerazzurri outlined his role in a statement.

“FC Internazionale Milano today announce the appointment of Giuseppe Marotta as Chief Executive Officer Sport,” the document on the club’s official website reads.

It was officially confirmed today that former Juventus general manager Marotta has been appointed, and the Nerazzurri outlined his role in a statement.

“FC Internazionale Milano today announce the appointment of Giuseppe Marotta as Chief Executive Officer Sport,” the document on the club’s official website reads.

“The highly experienced executive begins his role immediately and will be responsible for the entire sports area of the club.

“FC Internazionale Milano will adopt a co-CEO model, in which Marotta will work alongside Alessandro Antonello who becomes Chief Executive Officer Corporate in charge of all corporate activities.

“Both CEOs will report to Inter President, Steven Zhang.”

The President, son of owner Jindong Zhang, also commented on the appointments.

“This is an important change for the club in line with our objective of becoming a winning football club and a successful company.

“As Inter, we want to win, entertain, inspire and connect people through football. Beppe is one of the best executives in the football industry and will help us to achieve our goals.

“Outside of the pitch Alessandro will ensure the enhancement of our off-pitch performance, the successful completion of the Club’s strategic projects, and the promotion of our values inside the organisation.”
