Calciomercato.com reports that Madrid are interested in bringing Icardi to Spain, though they haven’t yet made an official offer.

The striker’s agent and wife, Wanda, is using that interest as leverage and has made clear that her client wants a salary of around €8m per season.

New CEO Giuseppe Marotta is keen to try and tie Icardi to a new contract as soon as possible, or at least push him and Wanda into making a decision.

If Inter know now that their star man won’t sign a new contract they can begin looking for a replacement, knowing they’ll get €110m for in the summer.
