Genoa have confirmed Milan’s interest in signing Krzysztof Piatek but insisted that the striker will only leave if they receive ‘a substantial offer’.
Piatek is in pole position to replace Gonzalo Higuain at Milan, with the Juventus loanee reportedly set for Chelsea, and sporting director Giorgio Perinetti gave an update on the situation.
“We’re awaiting offers for Piatek,” he told RMC Sport.
“Until now there haven’t been any official ones, only enquiries. Milan know we’d like to keep the player until June, but we’ll evaluate any offers that come our way.
“It’s not our intention to sell it now, although we may be swayed if we receive a substantial offer.
“Milan are interested. Now there’s the Supercoppa, but we won’t wait until the last day of the window.”
