“We’ve got to start the second half of the season the way we ended the first, by seeking results via good football,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Napoli are missing several players, but aside from Koulibaly, the others have already missed out this season. The only one they really were not accustomed to doing without was the centre-back, so that is an advantage for us.”

Lorenzo Insigne, Allan and Koulibaly are suspended for this game, with Marek Hamsik and Amin Younes injured.

Lazio have an unfortunate tendency to struggle against the big clubs and you can read more about that issue on our blog.

“We’ve got to try to turn incidents our way. Against Napoli in the opening weekend, Francesco Acerbi hit the post and it would’ve been an important point for us. We must be positive and concentrated, showing the right character. We already showed last season that we can do well against the big clubs.

“Napoli are a great side and achieved a new points record last season. The Coach has changed, but they remain in the top two. They are unbeaten at home, losing only to Juventus, Inter and Sampdoria this season, but we’ve got what it takes to do well.

“Carlo Ancelotti’s career speaks for him. He changed Napoli from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2, with technical players who can shift the balance from one moment to the next. It’s safe to say the standard of Napoli’s football has not dropped.

“We had a great first half performance against them in Week 1 and had taken the lead, but after Arkadiusz Milik equalised, the momentum shifted. It would’ve ended 2-2 if Acerbi’s effort had gone in off the post.”

Adam Marusic sits out a ban for Lazio, so Senad Lulic is expected to start on the right flank.

“I am fortunate to have Lulic at my disposal, because he is so versatile. I haven’t decided yet and I made a few experiments in training today before I choose the line-up,” continued Inzaghi.

“Luis Alberto is also an important player who can help out in various different areas of the pitch. We’ll see where he plays tomorrow, but the important thing is that he gives us options.”

Inzaghi confirmed Martin Caceres and Alessandro Murgia will not be making the trip, as they are evaluating possible transfers.
