Genoa claim they have “not started any talks with Betis yet,” but Sky Sport Italia insist Tonny Sanabria will have a medical on Friday, with work continuing for Marko Pjaca.

The deal is believed to be a loan for 18 months with option to buy for €20m in June 2020.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims the only reason for a delay until Friday is so he can play in the Copa del Rey on Thursday.

Roma sold Sanabria to Betis for €7.5m in the summer of 2016, but with an option allowing them 50 per cent of any future transfer.

So far this season, the Paraguay international has scored five goals with two assists in 22 official games.

Krzysztof Piatek has already left Genoa and is expected in Milan this evening, where he’ll have his medical tomorrow in a €35m plus bonuses deal.

Meanwhile, the Grifone continue to work on Pjaca, who is owned by Juventus and currently on loan at Fiorentina.

The player seems hesitant to leave Fiorentina just six months into that loan, but the clubs are discussing it this evening with President Enrico Preziosi and Bianconeri director Fabio Paratici.
