Domenico Di Carlo feels Chievo “concede avoidable goals and could’ve done more” than their 2-2 draw with Empoli.

The Flying Donkeys had been 2-0 up, but were pegged back by a goal either side of the break.

“We had been coming off two defeats, including the one against Fiorentina that we really didn’t deserve, so at least it’s a positive point, but we could’ve done more,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We had been coming off two defeats, including the one against Fiorentina that we really didn’t deserve, so at least it’s a positive point, but we could’ve done more,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a good performance, but once again we paid a heavy price for some individual errors. We have to improve in this, but we kept pushing for the victory to the very end and almost got the winning goal.

“We bring home a point with great determination and that is a good sign. If the first half had ended 2-0, it would’ve been a different game, so letting in that goal right in stoppages was crucial. That is a defect of ours, we concede avoidable goals.

“It’s not easy when you’ve been bottom of the table all season, but we have to leave negative thoughts outside and work on our own game. We need to have more belief in ourselves.”
