Torino goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu has become a real spot-kick specialist, saving five of the last seven Serie A penalties he’s faced.

The veteran was on his toes again in today’s 1-0 win over Udinese, as he parried a Rodrigo De Paul penalty that would’ve equalised.

It’s not entirely a new experience, because Sirigu has now kept out five of the last seven Serie A spot-kicks that were taken against him.

The former Paris Saint-Germain goalie just turned 32 last month.

It’s not entirely a new experience, because Sirigu has now kept out five of the last seven Serie A spot-kicks that were taken against him.

The former Paris Saint-Germain goalie just turned 32 last month.

During that run, he has denied Erick Pulgar of Bologna, Fiorentina’s Jordan Veretout, Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto, Fabio Quagliarella of Sampdoria and Udinese star De Paul.

The two that managed to beat him most recently were Cyril Thereau for Fiorentina in March 2018 and Roma’s Aleksandar Kolarov last month.

Throughout his career, Sirigu has saved 11 penalties in all competition, the first for Palermo, denying Fiorentina’s Adem Ljajic in October 2010.
