Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly held talks to sign Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen, who is valued in the region of €25m.

According to Il Secolo XIX, Samp Vice-President Antonio Romei used a trip to London on Wednesday to meet Tottenham, along with Andersen’s agent Paolo Busardo.

The newspaper writes Spurs have identified the Dane as a replacement for Toby Alderweireld, who could be sold this summer after failing to agree a new contract.

The 22-year-old would also set the Londoners back ‘around €25m’, although the onus will now be on Inter and Juventus to make their own moves.

Andersen has been a virtual ever-present for the Blucerchiati this term, missing only two of their 24 games in all competitions.
