FIFA has rejected Chelsea’s request for their one-year transfer ban to be frozen during the appeals process.

Chelsea were banned from registering new players for two transfer windows last month, although they have since launched an appeal to have the ruling revoked.

However, the Associated Press reports their plea for the embargo to be lifted until a final verdict is given has been thrown out by FIFA.
