The 21-year-old only moved to Porto from Sao Paulo last summer but has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign, which saw him also make his senior debut for Brazil.

Juve had been linked with the stopper as an alternative to Ajax’s Matthijs de Ligt, as were Manchester United.

Los Blancos are understood to have paid Militao’s €50m release clause as he becomes Zinedine Zidane’s first signing since returning to the Santiago Bernabeu.
