Keita Balde Diao admits that while he is ready to ‘sweat’ again for the Inter cause, ‘I wouldn’t celebrate out of respect’ against Lazio on Sunday.

Keita is in line to start his first Serie A game since December after being sidelined with a thigh injury, but the winger will be facing his former club.

“I was out for a while,” the 24-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.

“I need some minutes in my legs. I have to catch the team’s rhythm. Playing two matches with my national team did me good. I suffer a lot when I can’t play.

“I played at Lazio for so many years. They really helped me grow and gave me a lot, like I did to them.

“Lazio are a team who I’ll always respect. If I scored against them, I wouldn’t celebrate out of respect.

“I’m ready for anything, the important thing is to sweat and respect the jersey and the fans, giving everything.”

The Senegalese was then asked about Mauro Icardi, who is back in the Inter fold after over a month away.

“I’ve not seen much of him,” he admitted.

“One thing is for certain: whoever plays will always give everything and never stop.”
