Sassuolo boss Roberto De Zerbi wants his team to build on the 4-0 victory over Chievo and avoid lapses of concentration.

It was their first win since January 26, a negative streak that had left them not quite safe from the potential threat of relegation.

“I am happy, but we need more results than this,” De Zerbi told Sky Sport Italia.

“The table has been split into two blocks for Europe and to avoid the drop, both very balanced. It’s all going to come down to one or two points.

“Keeping constant concentration makes the difference and we’ve had problems with that. The performances are always there, but the results are another matter.

“We were tense early on today, but have to play as a team.”

Turkish defender Merih Demiral was a January signing and broke his Serie A duck with two headed goals.

“He is a complete defender, very technical, has fire in the blood and real character, especially for a 21-year-old. There is a bright future ahead of him.”
