The result in Amsterdam means Ajax have to either win at the Juventus Stadium or draw by scoring at least two goals in order to reach the Champions League semi-finals.

“We wanted to win the game and they got an away goal, so it won’t be easy, but we want to overturn the result in Turin,” Tagliafico told Rai Sport.

“I’d say both teams have a 50-50 chance of going through. It’s true that Juve have an away goal in their favour, but we have already overturned a first leg result on our travels, so we’ll try to create chances and score goals in Turin.

“We know we’ve got to score at least once, but hope to have more so that we can qualify.”

Ajax lost the first leg of their Round of 16 tie at home, 2-1 to Real Madrid, only to hammer the reigning Champions League holders 4-1 at the Bernabeu.
