Inter are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka this summer.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Nerazzurri sporting director Piero Ausilio has set his sights on the Switzerland international for next season.

Any potential deal would not be cheap as Xhaka’s contract expires in 2023, although he is deemed worthy of consideration due to his age.

The 26-year-old arrived at Emirates Stadium in 2016 for a fee of €45m and has scored four times in 32 appearances for the Gunners this season.

Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey is also on the list of potential recruits and is highly regarded for his tactical versatility.

Cagliari’s Nicolo Barella would cost in the region of €50m and on paper seems an easier target to go for, but the Sardinians would have to lower their price tag.

In the meantime, Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos, Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic and Olympique Lyonnais’ Tanguy Ndombele remain on Inter’s wishlist.
