Tudor issues Udinese warning

Igor Tudor has warned Udinese that their unbeaten start under him ‘means nothing’ ahead of Saturday’s match against Roma in Serie A.

Tudor has guided Udinese to two wins and a draw in his three games back at the helm, propping them up to 15th in the table, four points clear of the relegation zone.

However, up next for the Zebrette is an Olimpico double-header against Roma and Lazio, while the Coach has lost Valon Behrami and Nicolas Opoku to injury in recent weeks.

“Opoku is out, plus we know what happened to Behrami,” he said at a Press conference

“We also have a couple of other players struggling. It is clearly not a good situation since we have another complicated week coming up, but it is part of the game and we will put out our strongest possible XI.

“I talked a lot with the boys to make them understand what is crucial in this sport, that what happened in our last few games means nothing.

“We must use this moment to grow and improve, going to work with effort and humility.

“At Roma there is Coach who in England pulled off a historic achievement. He is good at motivating his players and has a way of playing that I like.

“This game will obviously not be easy as they are fighting for the Champions League. We have trained to play the best possible game we can play.

“Hallfredsson has only done two training sessions with us. After his long layoff it will take another couple of weeks.

“I know him and I know what he can give, we’ll see if he can recover and give us a hand in the last few games.

“Pussetto had a knee problem immediately after the last game. He has recovered and is among those named in the squad.

“In the end what counts is our attitude, our approach and our quality. I don’t give too much importance to what formation we will play.

“What matters is the quality of who will take the field. We know that after Lazio we face Sassuolo two days later.

“No Coach likes to play too many games in a short space of time, but let’s look at the positive side. We can pick up points that the others can’t.

“In football, tranquillity doesn’t exist. You give 100 percent or you don’t. There can be no tranquillity. Everything changes so quickly that you cannot settle down.

“We can talk about having more confidence, but I don’t like making calculations.

“I can watch Empoli-Napoli and hope that Napoli take the three points. I can do this, but I don’t like to watch the matches of our rivals, it makes me nervous.”
