Distance has reportedly emerged in contract talks between Roma and midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.
Zaniolo’s family have always maintained that the 19-year-old will sign a new contract with Roma, but Il Messaggero believes a potential stumbling block has cropped up.
That would be as the Giallorossi want to pay him a salary of €1.7m plus bonuses until 2024, while the Italy starlet is requesting only an improvement on his current deal, worth more than €2m a season.
