Nainggolan ended speculation about his future last summer, when he left Roma for Inter, but the Belgian revealed he could have been a Juve player.

“Games against Juve have always been special for me because they often looked at me in the past and then nothing happened,” he told DAZN.

“I prefer to face the best teams and try to beat them. It’s something I've always had in mind.”

The two sides face off in the Derby d’Italia on Saturday, and the 30-year-old was asked about what a win would mean to the Nerazzurri.

“Juve have been the team to beat for many years,” he explained.

“I think any team want to beat them. For us, it’s an important game for the table.

“They’ve already won the title, but that changes little for us because the important thing will be to win to achieve our objective.”
