A Juventus supporter caught on camera mocking the victims of the Superga tragedy during the Turin derby has been identified and banned.

The incident occurred during last night’s 1-1 draw against Torino.

A banner unveiled by the ultras showed solidarity with their city rivals, as today is the 70th anniversary of the plane crash that wiped out the entire Grande Torino squad.

As that happened, a ‘fan’ was filmed in the stands miming a plane going down.

After a social media campaign and appeal for information, the supporter was identified and Juventus have banned him from attending their games.

This is highly unusual for Italian clubs, as identifying and banning individual fans has been considered too difficult to implement.
