Inter winger Matteo Politano says that while Antonio Conte is ‘a great Coach’, he ‘thinks’ Luciano Spalletti will stay.
Conte is the runaway favourite to take charge of Inter next season, with Sky Sport Italia claiming a deal is close, and Politano admitted to being in two minds over him and Spalletti.
“We have a small advantage, but Chievo won’t give anything away,” he told Sport Mediaset, referring to Monday’s Serie A match against Chievo.
“We’re suffering from a lack of goals, but I’m convinced that in our last three games we’ll get back to scoring like before.
“I’ve never met Conte, but he’s a great Coach, his numbers speak for themselves.
“But I think Spalletti will remain next season: he has a contract and we’re available to him and the club.”
Finally, the Sassuolo loanee was asked about how a deal to keep him at San Siro was coming along.
“We’re working on it. I hope it’ll go like this.”
