Over 600 fans have flocked to protest Roma directors after refusing to give captain Daniele De Rossi a new contract.

The decision seemingly took De Rossi by surprise too, having spent his entire football career with the Giallorossi.

Even Coach Claudio Ranieri said in his Press conference that the situation had been handled very badly.

This afternoon, over 600 fans gathered outside the new club offices in EUR with banners to protest the dismissal of their Lupi legend.

“Club icons are now torn down, they are defended and honoured,” read one banner. “These ‘directors’ are charlatans without respect!

“AS Roma represents our legend, but only those unworthy of it can call it a business.”

Another aimed at President James Pallotta warned ultras “are not on your payroll” and some even protested against plans to build a new stadium.

"Roma belongs to us," was a popular large banner.
