Italy have named their squad for the Women’s World Cup, which will be held in France from June 7 to July 7.
Champions Juventus make up the bulk of the squad with eight of their players called up, Milan have six and Fiorentina and Roma each have three.
Juve’s Cristiana Girelli is the squad’s top goalscorer with 27 in 51 appearances and is followed by Milan’s Daniela Sabatino with 20 in 45 caps.
The Azzurre haven’t qualified for the World Cup since 1999 when they finished third in their group behind Brazil and Germany.
Italy are in Group C with Australia, Jamaica, and Brazil, while the competition will run from June 7 to July 7.
Their first game is against Australia on June 9 in Valenciennes at 12:00 PM UK Time.
The United States are holders and are in Group F along with Thailand, Chile, and Sweden.
