Napoli are reportedly in talks with Real Madrid’s €60m rated forward James Rodriguez, as Coach Carlo Ancelotti wants a reunion.

According to the Corriere del Mezzogiorno newspaper, Ancelotti and Rodriguez’s agent Jorge Mendes have already discussed the possibility of the Colombian arriving at the Stadio San Paolo.

The 27-year-old spent the past two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich and the Bavarians have an option to buy, but are unlikely to pay the €42m it would take to redeem him.

James made just 20 appearances in the Bundesliga this season, but still managed to find the back of the net on seven occasions.

Meanwhile, Partenopei President Aurelio De Laurentiis told Sky Sport Italia that there will be a “surprise announcement on Monday.”

He also confirmed they are looking for reinforcements in attack after signing right-wing-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo from Empoli.

James already worked with Ancelotti both at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
