Pep Guardiola has dismissed reports that he could take a year out and warned Juventus that he will only leave Manchester City ‘if they throw me out’.

The Sun and The Mirror both claimed on Wednesday that Guardiola was considering taking a sabbatical if City were to finally win the Champions League next season.

However, he told Mundo Deportivo: “I’m not taking a year out. It’s come out in the Press and been doing the rounds, but it’s not true.

The Sun and The Mirror both claimed on Wednesday that Guardiola was considering taking a sabbatical if City were to finally win the Champions League next season.

However, he told Mundo Deportivo: “I’m not taking a year out. It’s come out in the Press and been doing the rounds, but it’s not true.

“I have two years left on my contract and, if they don’t throw me out, I’ll stay on.”

It comes after Eurosport reported the former Brescia and Roma midfielder had rejected the offer of a €20m salary from Juve.
