Milan have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Lucas Torreira as it emerges the midfielder will not leave Arsenal this summer.

Corriere dello Sport reported earlier today that Milan were hoping to exchange Franck Kessie for Torreira.

The Uruguayan is rated highly by incoming Rossoneri boss Marco Giampaolo, the pair having worked together at Sampdoria.

However, Sky Sport Italia warns Arsenal are ‘refusing to sell’ the 23-year-old, prompting the Diavolo to look elsewhere.

The broadcaster cites Sassuolo playmaker Stefano Sensi as a possible alternative, although the Neroverdi continue to demand €25m.
