Former Milan defender Cristian Zapata is ready to sign for Genoa, rejecting Sampdoria, Bologna and Sassuolo offers.

According to multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia, the Colombia international has made his decision.

He’ll put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Genoa and arrives as a free agent following the expiry of his Milan deal.

The 32-year-old centre-back first arrived in Italy for Udinese in 2005 and remained there save for a brief 2011-12 period with Villarreal.
