Inter have held talks with Nicolo Barella’s agent ahead of a potential big-money move for the Cagliari midfielder.
According to FC Inter News and FC Inter 1908, Alessandro Beltrami met Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio on Monday afternoon.
It is speculated that there could be some fresh developments in the coming hours, although the Beneamata have yet to meet the Sardinians’ €50m valuation.
The 22-year-old has been linked with several other clubs but has his heart set on a move to Inter.
He is currently on international duty with Inter at the European Under-21 Championship, scoring against Belgium in a 3-1 win on Saturday.
Beltrami also represents Radja Nainggolan, who could leave Inter if a substantial offer comes their way.
