Daniele De Rossi could be set for Milan after Marco Giampaolo recently revealed the ex-Roma midfielder ‘told me I’d like to come and work with you.’
Milan are among the clubs reportedly interested in signing De Rossi, who will become a free agent on June 30, and an interview Giampaolo gave to Sky Sport Italia on May 20 – when he was still Sampdoria Coach – has resurfaced.
“Recently De Rossi told me, ‘I’d like to come and work with you,’” he said.
“I said I’d think about it and that if there was the possibility of a collaboration, I’d think about it.
“He’s a player who conveys passion. He’d be a resource. I thought about it and I’m still thinking about it.”
Fiorentina and Bologna have also been linked with bringing in the former Italy international, who will be 36 by the time the new season starts.
