Fiorentina have reportedly agreed a fee with Empoli for Ismael Bennacer, having already been very close to the Algeria international in January.
According to le10sport in France, the midfielder is ready for the short journey from one Tuscan town to another.
It’s not the first time the Viola have been on the verge of signing Bennacer, as the midfielder was already on their radar several months ago.
Following some impressive African Cup of Nations performances for Algeria, it’s rumoured the two clubs agreed a transfer fee.
Now he just needs to lock down personal terms with the Stadio Franchi outfit.
The 21-year-old spent time in the Arls, Tours FC and Arsenal youth academies before his €1m move to Empoli in 2017.
Arsenal are believed to have an option to buy Bennacer back, but do not seem inclined to use it.
