The former striker joined the Flying Donkeys from Torino all the way back in 2000 and went on to score 139 goals in 513 appearances, even playing with them in the Champions League twice during the 2006-07 campaign.

He netted 112 times in 454 Serie A games for the club and marked his only Italy cap with a goal in 2009.

Chievo have also brought in defender Maxime Leverbe and midfielder David Ivan from Sampdoria.

The Gialloblu are preparing for a season back in Serie B following their relegation.
