Lucas Paqueta is returning to Milan ‘with more experience and confidence’ and is excited about the prospect of playing under Marco Giampaolo.
Paqueta was part of the Brazil squad who won Copa America on Sunday evening, and the midfielder will be working with a new Coach at Milan next season.
“This trophy brings me so much more experience and it lets me grow as a player,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.
“I return to Milan with more confidence and awareness, ready to help the team achieve their objectives.
“I’ll meet Giampaolo personally once I’m back from my holiday. Right now, I just want to rest because I come from a very intense season. After that, I’ll be focused on solely Milan.”
Giampaolo is known for his use of a 4-3-1-2 formation, so could the 21-year-old be the ‘one’?
“I know how Giampaolo likes to play. I followed his work at Sampdoria and I was really happy with his arrival at Milan.
“I hope I can help the Rossoneri and also do my bit in his formation, which is also good for me.”
